Disposable Surgical Fibres
The 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0 .4mm and 0.6mm EndoStat fibres are sterile, single-use, disposable laser delivery devices designed to deliver laser energy at 532 nm (KTP). The 200 micron EndoStat fibres are designed to deliver laser energy at 532 nm (KTP) only. They are used to deliver KTP/532 laser energy during hand-held, endoscopic and microscopic procedures. Fibres can be used to cut, coagulate or vaporize tissue by changing the distance from the fibre tip to the tissue. The choice of fibre diameter is dependent on the surgical procedure and the desired tissue effect.
Microscope Automatic Eye Protection Filters
Microscope Automatic Eye Protection Filters (AEPF) have an optical density (O.D.) of 5 at both 532 nm and at 1064 nm. These filters are designed to protect a camera or the surgeon's eye from excessive light when performing surgery with a microscope.
The viewing path of the Microscope AEPF is clear until the surgeon attempts to activate the surgical beam. At the time the surgeon steps on the footswitch to activate the laser, the laser's microprocessor moves the filter into place and activates the surgical beam.
The Microscope AEPF also contains an interlock switch. This switch is designed to prevent the surgical beam from activating unless the filter is in place. There are three Microscope AEPF available for compatible microscopes including Zeiss, Storz, Leica, Urban, and Wild.
MicroManipulators/Microbeams
Both our KTP and CO₂ surgical lasers have the option of a micromanipulator attachment that is compatible with Zeiss, Storz, Leica, Wild and other commonly used microscopes, enabling precise, remote manipulation of the delivery beam to the desired tissue area.
